Just a Few Glittery Paper Ornaments

Our Christmas tree fell over twice in the span of 24 hours, and we have officially blamed it on a sort of spongy-feeling trunk. If there’s a term for that, I’m not sure what it is.

In lieu of running out to buy a bunch of new ornaments to replace the dead soldiers, we got all crafty.

Glittery Paper Ornaments are a rather timely project right about now, and easy enough to tackle even if you are pressed for time, so break out the paper, glitter glue, hole punch and yarn, and you’ve got a pretty awesome project for the wee ones.

I traced some circles on paper, and cut them out, adding in an ornament top. I completely free-handed the teardrop ornaments you will see, so just go on and wing it.

Next up is the glitter glue. It took Beckett a little while to figure out how to successfully squeeze the tubes, but when he caught on, he squeezed them like a pro.

This is the view from below, so if the ornaments had eyes, they’d be able to catch a glimpse of this crazy face.

These got hole-punched and cord-looped and are currently gracing our tree. Who needs all those fancy glass balls?
